My football career started playing for my school team Sir Edmund Hillary in year 5/6 and I joined my first club Langold Juniors at age 11 joining the under 12s this is where I meet my fellow coach Chris. I played at Langold Juniors from under 12s - Under 16s and when I finished I won Star player (Don’t tell Chris it’s still sore 😉).
After Junior Football finished I played for the Butchers Arms and Locomotive Millhouse in the Worksop pub league. At Locomotive Millhouse we won the league Cup and even got myself on the scoresheet! I played as a Central Midfielder all my career and my favourite players was Roy Keane and Gerald Sibon liking to think I was a mix of the two (In my dreams).

Watching lads grow not only as footballers but as young people. It is a great feeling seeing someone you have coached and invested time get their first game or even first goal!

My friends call me Chris, Macca or if you’ve known me long enough then proctor.
I started playing football at 7 years old.
The first team I played for was Langold juniors as a centre forward until I got to the under 16’s. For the last few years there I played with my fellow coach James Darke, this is how we met.
When I left Langold Juniors I went to play for EMU’s as centre forward for around 2 years.
I then played for the butchers as an adult for a Sunday league as a centre back.
I went into the RAF at 19 years old, played for RAF Cyprus, Inter services and RAF AY Nik where we won the league title going unbeaten.
When I left the RAF, I played for RANGERS as centre back but found my calling as a goal keeper, we won 23/24 league division 2 title claiming 5 assists and 5 clean sheets along the way.
SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY
I have found since I got older that I enjoy coaching, as it gives me an opportunity to be involved in the game still when I don’t play myself. I get a great enjoyment from seeing kids take part in a team sport. It was a massive part of my childhood growing up and I love seeing the lads enjoy it just as much as I did.
Carl Clarke (U13's Team Manager) | Clarkey

My football career started playing for Clowne Comets Under 10's through to U14's until I was approached to play for Clowne's bitter rivals Newbold Colts. I left Clowne for Newbold and had 2 successful seasons with them. I then joined Clowne Wanderers where I spent 4 seasons before hanging up my boots. I also played 2 games for Sheffield FC development team in front of 150+ supporters.
Liverpool FC (Champions 20 Times!)
Watching a player who has hardly ever kicked a ball before, scoring his/her first goal and the smiles on their faces when playing football and learning something new.

My football career started with playing for the school team at Redlands, I was part of the Champions of Champions and won many competitions. I then began playing for Worksop Boys Club from 11yrs until 16.
I was then approached to play up for the Shireoaks Inn on a Sunday and stayed there for around 15 years.
I left Shireoaks Inn to move to St Joseph’s and had 3 very successful seasons with them on Sundays and was part of the teams that won several league and cup doubles. I was then asked to play for SJR on Saturdays, winning Central Mids 1st Division, promotion for the Development team, reached a Sheffield Cup Semi Final, and its where I continue to play now for the SJR Worksop Vets.
